Wanwan Lu is a documentary filmmaker interested in the intersections of ethnography, storytelling, and art.

As a video ethnographer and editor for the Ipsos Ethnography Center of Excellence, she has worked on documentary projects in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, financial services, consumer goods, and nonprofit organizations, for clients such as Bank of America, HP, Nestlé, Target, Mars, Newell, Biogen, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and GSK.

Her documentary short Youth Group has screened at major ethnographic film festivals, including the Royal Anthropological Institute Film Festival and the Society for Visual Anthropology Film & Media Festival, and is currently distributed by RAI Films.

Raised in Beijing and Singapore, she studied History of Art (BA) at Yale University and Visual Anthropology (MA) at the University of Southern California. She is currently based in Santa Barbara, CA.
